Children ages 12 and under are invited to join our Summer Reading is BIG Fun reading program starting Saturday, June 24 and ending Saturday, August 5. Children can earn prizes through their reading efforts. Register online by clicking this link https://hbpl.beanstack.com/reader365 ( you can pre-register before June 24) or come to any HB library branch starting June 24 and have our staff/volunteers assist you.
There will be a free outdoor concert for all our reading program participants and their families on Saturday, August 5 featuring Kids Imagine Nation at 10:30 a.m. at the Central Park Bandstand.

Summer Kick-Off Carnival June 24, 11am -3pm
Come the FOTCL's summer kick-off carnival on Saturday, June 24 in front of the Central Library. It's the first day of our Summer Reading is BIG fun reading program. There will be games, crafts, facepainting and balloons. The HB singers will be giving a free performance at 11:00 a.m. in the Tabby Theater. Belle from Beauty and the Beast will be walking around for photo opportunities and to meet and greet the children. Don't miss our Flappy and Buttons Clown show at 1:00 p.m. Show tickets are $4 per person. The carnival is from 11:00 a.m.to 3:00 p.m. Carnival tickets are .50 each or at strip of 11 tickets for $5. Tickets may be used for games, facepainting, crafts and balloons.
Chick-fil-A and Lion's Club will be selling food during the event. They take cash.

Flappy and Button Show Jun 24
They're crazy. They're wacky. They're funny. They are clowns! Come see this zany show and watch the antics of these two hilarious clowns as they "clown" around and entertain. Sure to make you laugh and clap your hands. Tickets are $4 each and are being sold at the Children's Desk starting May 23.

Register for Shelving Workshop and Shelving Schedule
The teen volunteer shelving workshop is held the first Wednesday of each month at 4:00 p.m. in the Tabby Theater. Volunteers MUST attend the workshop before they can start shelving books.
